flash gas management system

The flash gas emissions management system facilitates vapor-liquid separation by sending exhaust from the separator to a large vessel where its condensate is collected as the dryer gas is sent to a combustor to be destroyed.

The increased size of the vessel drastically reduces the incoming pressure so that it does not overfeed the combustor which operates at around only 10 oz. of pressure. In certain instances, pressure spikes can occur to where the gas cannot expand fast enough to effectively reduce the incoming pressure. For this instance, a choke nipple is put in-line to the combustor which further prevents high pressure from reaching the combustor.

The Flash Gas Management unit is available with a cold weather upgrade to prevent freezing within the tank. 10 Watt, tinned copper braided heat trace in a Polyolefin jacket is wound around components that are prone to freezing with a termination kit included. Polyethylene foam with reflective foil is wrapped around liquid-carrying vessels; 5 mm thick with a R-value of 17.
