The premise for both zero emission options is condensing the still column steam/vapors, using all stainless ASME coded condensers, and separating the liquid from the remaining gases in a large tank that is available in either stainless steel or carbon steel. From there, the gases are compressed using either the Spiral X provided compressor or, as shown in option 2, a user provided compressor package. Both designs come with the Spiral X ESG.CLOUD ready PLC that controls the BTEX inlet, the compressor recycle line, and the blanket gas supply when needed. The Spiral X compressor system is available with optional redundant compression, as well as a combustor that is used when the primary compressors go offline for any reason.
Spiral X supplied BTEX skid and VRU combination unit, utilizing rotary vane compressors. These compressors offer reduced maintenance and the ability to vary rotation speeds without the drawbacks of other compressor designs. The rotary vane compressors have a single and dual stage, single stage giving output pressures up to 50 psi and dual stage giving up to 150 psi. being able to effectively operate at lower RPMs also allows this compressor design to handle relatively small amounts of gas typical with BTEX streams.
Spiral X supplied BTEX skid and scrubber tank with customer supplied compressor. A blanket gas is provided for these compressor designs to keep them running at their needed capacity, as well as low maintenance and monitoring to ensure compressors are kept at high temperature to prevent oil/water separation. Spiral X provides PLC logic to modulate the intake of blanket gas for your system.
